In this regard, it is stated that Central Information Commission is not the public authority in this case. CIC is the Second appellate authority under the RTI Act, 2005 in respect of RTI matters involving public authorities under the Central Government or UTs. It seems that you have sought the information from the Office of Counseling Centre of the Crime Branch of Commissioner Office of Bangalore. This is a State matter and the jurisdiction of State Information Commission and Central Information Commission are distinct & separate. State matters cant be heard in Central Information Commission. You can forward your application to the concerned public authority.
