In the appeal, appellant has stated that the details of the appropriate public authority is not provided and requested for the same. In this regard, Shri TBJS Rajappa, CPIO, RTI Cell has been called who informed that information sought by the appellant is of general nature and not specific. As per Annual Report of 2016-17 of the Commission, there are 2092 public authorities and which is the appropriate authority for the appellant is not known, therefore, he was informed that in case any CPIO/PIO or any other official has leaked the information in violation to RTI Act, he may approach the concerned public authority for appropriate action against the individual. However, appellant may see the name of public authorities in the Annual Reports 2016-17 of the Commission under the link https://cic.gov.in/sites/default/files/Reports/CIC%20Annual%20Report%20English%202016-17.pdf
FAA is in agreement with the submissions of the CPIO. |

On perusal of the RTI application, it is observed that appellant has sought information from the PIO O/o the Secretary, Bihar Staff Selection Commission, Veterinary College, Seikhpura, Patna, but he filed it through online portal in this Commission. Hence, CPIO in his reply dated 12.11.2018 has rightly advised him to approach the concerned public authority/organization to get the information as CIC is not the holder of the information sought in the RTI application. |
