On perusal of the RTI application, CPIO’s reply and appeal, it is observed that reply of the CPIO is appropriate. Since the CIC as a public authority is not the holder of the information sought, CPIO has rightly advised the appellant to approach the concerned public authority to get the information. |

On perusal of the RTI application, CPIO’s reply and submissions made in the appeal, it is observed that u/s 4(1)(b) of the RTI Act, Commission itself uploading RTI applications and RTI replies on the CIC’s website by hiding personal information of the RTI applicants, therefore, invoking section 8(1)(j) of the RTI Act in this case is not appropriate. Direction is accordingly given to Shri S.S. Rohilla, CPIO & DO to Chief IC to provide copy of RTI application as sought in the RTI application by hiding personal information to the appellant within 2 weeks from the date of receipt of the order. |
