3194 CICOM/A/2018/60180 AJITKUMAR VASANTRAO SONTAKKE 27-11-2018 On perusal of the record of the concerned case file, it is observed that Shri Krishan Avtar Talwar, DS & CPIO (CR II) vide his reply dated 11.10.2018 has informed the appellant that letter dated 03.08.2018 diarized vide Dy.No.149990 on 09.08.2018 was linked with the e-book of File No.CIC/RM/C/2012/000306 on 14.08.2018, which was also approved by the registry of CIC(BJ) on 23.08.2018. For providing further information sought in the RTI application, he forwarded the RTI application to Shri K.L. Das, CPIO & DO to CIC(BJ). In the appeal, appellant has intimated that Shri K.L. Das has not provided the information sought till date. Direction is accordingly given to Shri K.L. Das, CPIO & DO to CIC(BJ) to provide information as sought in the RTI application to the appellant within 01 week from the date of receipt of the order. NA
3195 CICOM/A/2018/60179 AJITKUMAR VASANTRAO SONTAKKE 26-11-2018 In the appeal, appellant has stated that “More recent data on number of RTIs filed, rejected and disposed of by the commission is needed. The data provided in the response of RTI is limited to year 2008-09. Data from year 2015 to 2017 is required.” The Annual Reports for the year 2015-16 and 2016-17 are also available in the link provided by the CPIO i.e. https://cic.gov.in/reports/37. Appellant may get the information from these two Annual Reports through the above said link. NA
3196 CICOM/A/2018/60178 AJITKUMAR VASANTRAO SONTAKKE 24-11-2018 On perusal of the RTI application, CPIO’s reply and submissions made in the appeal, it is observed that reply of the CPIO is not appropriate. He should have transfer the RTI application to DoPT u/s 6(3) of the RTI Act, 2005. Shri Jeewan Chandra, CPIO(MR) is advised to be careful, in future. Direction is hereby given to Shri Jeewan Chandra, CPIO(MR) to transfer the RTI application to DoPT within 02 days from the date of receipt of the order. NA

3199 CICOM/A/2018/60177 AJITKUMAR VASANTRAO SONTAKKE 21-11-2018 In the RTI application, appellant has sought current status of 22 diary numbers. Shri Krishan Avtar Talwar, CPIO & DR to CR-I has provided the status of all diary numbers vide letter dated 11.10.2018. According to Shri Talwar, all diary numbers have been registered as 2nd Appeals in the Commission and providing present status of these appeals, he has transferred the RTI application to Shri S.S. Rohilla, CPIO & DO to CIC(SB). In the appeal, appellant has stated that part information is provided and remaining information is not provided so far. On perusal of the record of the case file, it is observed that Shri S.S. Rohilla, CPIO & DO to CIC(SB) has already furnished information vide his online reply dated 18.10.2018. Hence, the allegation of the appellant that remaining information has not been provided is not correct. Shri S.S. Rohilla, CPIO & DO to CIC(SB) in his online reply dated 18.10.2018 stated that:- “………In this regard additional information is as under:- Your second appeals/complaints are taken up for hearing in their own turn. The appeals/complaints are taken up for hearing in their own turn. The Commission endeavors to dispose the appeals/complaints as soon as possible but due to large number of intake, a longer time for their disposal is required. These are disposed on the basis of first come first served. In the Registry of Shri Sudhir Bhargava, Information Commissioner, the appeals/complaints which were registered in August 2017 are being heard in October 2018. Any further information relating to your appeal as mentioned above can also be obtain from the website of the Commission i.e. http://cic.gov.in/” Since complete and factual information has been provided by the CPIOs, no further intervention is required on the part of the FAA, in the matter.
