1. Once an online appeal/complaint is successfully filed, there is no requirement of sending its hard copy to CIC unless specifically demanded by the Commission by issuing of facilitation memo.
2. From 01 May, 2014 to 31 July 2018 there are 419 cases wherein the Commission levied total penallty amount of 78,52,000/- on various PIOs belonging to numerous Public Authorities (Yearwise details is enclosed). Out of the above amount, total amount of recovery is Rs 40, 94,600/-.
3. In case wherein there is any shortfall in the recovery of penalty/fine, then a reminder letter is issued to the concerned Public Authority. Till the starting of 2017, monitoring of recovery of penalty/fine was being done by the Admn section of this Commission. Thereafter the work has been assigned to DR to CR II section. Presently the undersigned is temporarily doing the monitoring work of recovery of penalty due to demitting of office by the then DR to CR II on I.7.2018. Other information sought for pertains to 3rd party which does not seems to serve larger public interest. As such, information cannot be supplied under the provisions of RTI Act, 2005. |
