In the appeal, appellant has stated that “The information was sought from Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MORTH). Information has not been given by the said Ministry. Compliance report has been given by National Highways Authority of India from whom no information has been sought. No compliance report has been given by MORTH.
Shri A.K. Talapatra, CPIO cum DO to IC(AB) has been called for who informed that he had sent the reminder regarding compliance of the Commission’s Order No.CIC/YA/C/2016/900268 to the CPIO, M/o Shipping Road Transport & Highways, NHAI, G 5 & 6, Sector-10, Dwarka, Delhi who is respondent CPIO as per Commission’s above mentioned order and provided copy of compliance report as received from the respondent CPIO to the appellant. He acted as per the records available on file, therefore, he has no comment to offer on the allegation of the appellant that he has sought information from MORTH and not from NHAI.
From the above, it is observed that factual information has been provided by the CPIO, therefore, no further intervention is required on the part of the FAA, in the matter. |

On perusal of the RTI application, reply of the CPIOs and submissions made in the appeal, it is observed that point-wise information furnished by the CPIOs seems to be appropriate and factual. Therefore, no intervention is required on the part of the FAA, in the matter. As regards no reply from Secretary, CIC, it is to mention that no Secretary is in position since 02.04.2018.
In view of the above, the appeal is disposed off. |
