2884 CICOM/A/2019/60122 AJITKUMAR VASANTRAO SONTAKKE 26-07-2019 The appellant states to be aggrieved with the response of the CPIO, RTI Cell who has replied that he may approach the concerned public authority to get the information. He has requested to help him in knowing the details regarding which authority to contact for the information. The appellant is expected to exercise due diligence to avail all the information which he seeks either by approaching the concerned public authorities through telephone or visiting the website etc. In any case, the CIC is not concerned with the information as the information neither held nor maintained in the Commission. For the above reason, the response of the CPIO, CIC is appropriate and does not require any interference. NA
2885 CICOM/A/2019/60123 AJITKUMAR VASANTRAO SONTAKKE 26-07-2019 On perusal of the RTI application and CPIO’s reply, it is observed that the reply of CPIO is technically correct. But in the true spirit of the RTI Act, CPIO may appreciate that it could have been explained in a better way to the appellant for his proper understanding. Direction is accordingly given to Shri TBJS Rajappa, CPIO (RTI Cell) to re-visit the RTI application and provide suitable information to the appellant within 2 (two) weeks from the date of receipt of the order. 2886 CICOM/A/2019/60120 AJITKUMAR VASANTRAO SONTAKKE 25-07-2019 On perusal of the RTI application, CPIO’s reply and appeal, it is observed that reply furnished by the CPIO is appropriate. Moreover, in the RTI application, appellant has not sought any information but made queries and queries does not falls under the definition of ‘information’ of the RTI Act. NA
2887 CICOM/A/2019/60117 AJITKUMAR VASANTRAO SONTAKKE 25-07-2019 On perusal of the case, it is observed that appellant has sought same information in three separate online RTI applications registered vide Nos.CICOM/R/2019/505036, 50538 dt.23.06.2019 & 50546 dt.24.06.2019 and one offline RTI application dated 24.06.2019 registered vide No.CICOM/R/2019/00510. In the appeal, appellant has stated that no information received by him till date. Further, on perusal of the concerned case files of RTI Cell, it is observed that in response to offline RTI application registered vide No.CICOM/R/2019/00510, Shri Rajesh Mongia, CPIO (CR II) has already furnished information on Points 10 to 14 vide letter dated 15.07.2019 and Shri R.P. Grover, CPIO cum DO to IC(YS) has furnished information on Points 1 to 9 vide letter dated 26.07.2019. In his reply, Shri Grover has also mentioned the reasons of delay in furnishing information. However, a copy of reply of Shri R.P. Grover is attached herewith. It is further to mention that point-wise information furnished by both CPIOs seems to be appropriate, therefore, no further intervention is required on the part of the FAA, in the matter. download pdf
